Emergency Assistance Fund
CSA’s Emergency Assistance Fund collects donations from Affiliated unions and their members and distributes financial assistance for eligible workers facing emergency situations like evictions, utility cut-offs, food shortages, short-term medical needs, and more.
Program Requirements
To be eligible for the Emergency Assistance Fund, individuals must be:
A member of a union local affiliated with either the Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO or the Northern Virginia Labor Federation, AFL-CIO.
Have an emergency need that can be documented.
Referred to the fund by their local.
If you are in need of assistance and meet the requirements above, contact your union representative to be referred to the Fund.

The Community Services Agency works in partnership with many partner organizations and agencies in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. If we are unable to assist you, we will gladly provide information and referrals to other organizations in the region that can.
